Nelson Bay Cinema is an independent cinema operating on the Tomaree Peninsula of Port Stephens, NSW. Neil Merrin, operator, was given the opportunity to reopen the site by Coho Property and the Salmon Family, owners of the facility. Neil has a long family history in the cinema industry, with generations of his family operating locations right across NSW and around Australia. Neil's passion is the show, your trip to the movies should be an experience. Sit back and relax with a drink, popcorn or a choc top and let the show encompass you.

Parking is available within walking distance to the cinema and other town amenities. Disabled parking is located in the carpark at the rear of the Cinema mall, access via Donald st. 

In line with community desires the cinema screens the latest blockbusters from around the world and additionally a range of alternate content to entice all movie goers.

The cinema has a dynamic relationship with the local community playing host to a number of community events including film festival, private business and group events, as well as fundraising and specialty events.
